We are embarking once again on our annual tour to India, and this year we have decided to take you into the Heart of the Himalayas!
The Buddha Dharma has touched so many lives over the past 2,650 years. From meditation, to prayer, ritual to right livelihood, the Dharma has left its mark on this world, encouraging a more compassionate humanity. This year we will pay homage to the immaculate mountain range and culture where this precious treasure of awakening has been preserved for so many years.
Embark on a transformative pilgrimage to Ladakh, nestled in the heart of the majestic Himalayas. Led by Lama Dorje, this sacred journey offers a rare opportunity to delve into the profound teachings of the Kagyu tradition while immersing oneself in the breathtaking beauty and spiritual energy of the Himalayan landscape.
Over the course of 10 days, participants will embark on a journey of self-discovery and spiritual renewal, guided by the wisdom of an authentic teacher. From serene meditation sessions amidst the towering peaks to insightful teachings on Buddhist philosophy, each moment is an invitation to deepen one's practice and cultivate inner peace.
Explore remote mountain caves that have been sanctuaries for generations of cave yogis, and feel the presence of their dedication and devotion permeate the air. Visit ancient monasteries and sacred sites steeped in centuries of tradition, where the echoes of prayers and mantras resonate through the tranquil valleys.
Engage in sacred rituals and ceremonies led by Lama, connecting with the rich tapestry of Tibetan Buddhist culture and forging a deeper bond with the spiritual lineage of masters who have walked these paths before. As you journey through Ladakh, allow the awe-inspiring beauty of the Himalayas to awaken a sense of wonder and reverence within, guiding you on a path of transformation and empowerment.

After the retreat there is a POSSIBILITY to receive a blessing with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. We cannot make a 100% promise, but in the past few years he has accepted our request and retreatants have met with His Holiness in person. This year we are not including Dharamshala in our journey, but we will put in a request that our group can meet with His Holiness sometime in the week after the retreat. His office will decide the if we are accepted the week we are in retreat. So if you want to be part of this possibility, plan your trip to stay in India an extra week doing some site seeing Dharamshala and keep an open/flexible schedule, and we will keep you informed.
Drupon Lama Dorje was born in the small village of Limi in a nomadic community of the Himalayan Region. At the age of 5 he requested to become a monk in the Drikung Kagyu lineage and completed his full monastic studies in Dehradun, India. He later elected to enter into solitary retreat for 4 years in the mountains of India where he trained deeply in the five-fold path of Mahamudra and the Six Yogas of Naropa.
Over the past 14 years, Lama Dorje has expanded Buddhist meditation and philosophy across Latin America through diverse events, seminars, courses and retreats, music albums on Spotify, and books.
He teaches in Spanish and is accompanied by an English translator.
Lama is an excellent guide throughout India, he welcomes us into the monastic community like family, helps us navigate the journey by speaking Hindi and Tibetan to all our contacts, and is genuinely a beautiful and inspiring presence to be around. He brightens any day with his smile, and brings deep meaning to any excursion by telling us the deeper significance of each place, how to properly pray at each particular site, and sharing Dharma teachings all throughout the journey.
All throughout the days of the trip we will receive personalized Dharma teachings with Lama Dorje that can be applied to our daily lives. You have plenty of time to ask questions, understand how to apply this precious knowledge in real life situations, and understand the gifts of Tibetan worldview.
We will experience a diversity of meditation instructions & teachings, visiting sacred temples and sites, time to meditate in silence, plus time to integrate the teachings together.
We will enjoy delicious Tibetan butter tea and Chai breaks where we can integrate what we are learning together!
