We invite you to a rare and auspicious gathering at the Amitabha Accumulation Annual Retreat, an opportunity to immerse yourself in the transformative practices of Amitabha Buddha, the Buddha of Infinite Light. Guided by His Eminence Garchen Rinpoche, this retreat offers the chance for Lama Dorje’s sangha to meet directly with their precious root guru, deepening their connection to the teachings of the Drikung Kagyu lineage.
Amitabha’s Pure Land of Dewachen (Sukhavati) represents a realm of boundless compassion and clarity, offering practitioners the ideal conditions to accelerate their progress toward enlightenment. Through the practice of Amitabha, participants can transmute attachment and self-grasping into loving-kindness and wisdom, fostering a commitment to the liberation of all beings. Amitabha’s practice is also central to Phowa—the transference of consciousness at the time of death—and removes obstacles to longevity and well-being.
This retreat will culminate in a pilgrimage to Sedona on September 8, where participants will deepen their practice amidst the energy of the land's sacred spaces. Teachings will be offered with direct Spanish translation by Lama Dorje and English translation, ensuring accessibility for all.

There will be options of single, double, and triple occupancy. As well as indoor and outdoor camping options.
We are waiting to Garchen Institute to send us the costs. The price will include accommodations and all meals from the 4th - 9th. As soon as we have this information we will let you know. And we will provide payment plans so you can pay in quotes.
You will purchase your flight to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.
You will need to pay for a shuttle or taxi to get to GBI on the 4th.

The Garchen Buddhist Institute was founded by His Eminence Garchen Rinpoche in Chino Valley, Arizona. It is rooted in the Drikung Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.
